The filmmakers occupied the area around everyone’s Christmas tree, and the main actress of the film, Stephanie Perk, was already present on Széchenyi Square.
The shooting of the scenes will take place all day on Wednesday, and from Thursday evening until Friday morning the evening scenes will be shot.
The exterior scenes will be filmed in Széchenyi Square for a few more days, and a few more scenes will be shot during the Advent market.
The film stars Olive, a game designer in the US who is struggling to come up with a high-tech game concept at work, but her boss insists on her own product development vision. Meanwhile, it turns out that her Hungarian grandmother Magdalena can’t come to her house for Christmas, so Olive travels to Pécs to take her with her. Here Olive meets András, a local carpenter, and despite an initial falling out, they begin to bond over traditional toy-making. His grandmother is into traditional toy making, and Olive realises that she would prefer to design toys like these. The idea appeals to her boss, who offers her a promotion, but she decides to stay on with András and take over her grandmother’s toy workshop in Pécs.
