The Pécs Zoo is open in winter, and everyone welcome all interested with much love, especially the winter animals that are in their element!
There are species that are particularly happy in this cold, snowy, really wintry weather, such as Vadim and Matilda, the wolverines; the American bison, especially the „head of the family” Brutus; or Jasmine the red panda.
There are also animals who are not bothered by this weather and will peep out of their indoor enclosures, as the kangaroos or even the fox mongooses.
Others animals, like zebras or warthog ladies, try to take advantage of the warmth of the sunny stone walls and the warming glow of the sun’s rays.
