Every year, 30-40 newly diagnosed children affected by leukemia come to the Eurakvilo Children’s Oncology and Children’s Hospice Public Foundation. There have been premature babies, but 18-year-old patients are not uncommon.
On October 21st, at dusk, people will walk in Pécs for them and their families, starting from Széchenyi Square.
They aim to draw attention to the challenges that families face and how many non-governmental organizations support these sick children during their treatments.
This year, the walk is organized for the fourth time, and the organizers hope that, besides the affected families, people from Pécs and university students will also participate in this act of solidarity.
