Every first Friday of the month at 10:00 AM, you can get to know the Pintér Garden Arboretum with a guided tour!
The arboretum is named after its founder, János Pintér (1879-1933), a bank clerk from Pécs, who in the mid-1920s initiated the planting of the garden around created a sentimental landscaped garden featuring mainly evergreen plants, as well as an artificial castle ruin, a wooden pavilion, two ponds, and several sculptures.
Participants can gain insights into the nearly hundred-year-old collection garden, which includes unique evergreens, fruit trees, and ornamental trees, guided by an expert. The programme also includes a visit to the Mecsek Exhibition located in the central part of the garden, where participants can get a comprehensive overview of the natural and cultural history of the Mecsek region, as well as the most important hiking destinations, through an audiovisual installation.
