On 6 December, in honour of St Nicholas, the children’s patron saint, and in keeping with the tradition of the Nordic peoples, but especially the Vikings, we give each other gifts at the winter solstice. Following this tradition, we can take part in exciting winter-Santa Claus activities in many parts of Baranya.
Santa Claus is coming to Katica farm
On Saturday 2 December, between 10 and 18 hours, and on Sunday 3 December between 10 and 18 hours Santa Claus will arrive at Katica Farm. There will be a programme of activities including:
- A reindeer with chips
- Santa Claus is coming!
- Snowflake window decoration
Between the programs, you will also have the opportunity to fill up on garlic cream soup, gypsy steak and golden calico among the restaurant’s services. More details are available HERE.
Santa Claus beauty competition in Bikal
The Santa Claus Beauty and Skill Contest will be held on Saturday 2 December between 11 and 17 hours at the Bikal Experience Farm. The day will include exciting performances such as The Tale of the Kneeling Ladybird, the educational story of the Cricket and the Ant, the Battle of the Knights and Queens and a thrilling Medieval Weapons Show for competitors and their guests. Gift giving in the Zsolnay Quarter
On Sunday, 3 December, at 16:00, the concert of Éva Tamás’s Toy Library will begin, and after the concert, at 16:40, Santa Claus will come to the children for a gift distribution. Gamer party with Santa Claus
On Wednesday, December 6, from 14 to 21 hrs, Santa Claus will be waiting for you with special games and exciting activities for children and adults alike for a huge party at the Multigames Gamer Centrum! Also visits Széchenyi Square’s Advent Market
On Wednesday, 6 December, Santa Claus will be at the Széchenyi Square’s Advent market in Pécs, where he will talk to all the curious children and present them with a little present at 4pm. Then, an hour later, you can attend a concert by Vilmos Gryllus – Santa Claus in Song on the square.
