Pécs Zoo recently added young guanacos to its population.
The six-month-old female and the soon-to-be one-year-old male are currently sharing a runway with their distant relative, the dromedary.
The animals are extremely curious and interested. If they are outside in their runway, they will closely watch and approach visitors who pass by or stop in front of them.
With their arrival, the Pécs camels are now represents four species, which the dromedary/one-humped camel is a member of the Camelini species, while the llama, alpaca and guanaco belong to the Lamini species.
